The Role of Social Media for College Student

Assalammu’alaikum wr.wb.

First of all, let us thanks to Allah SWT. For the blessing and guidance for us, so we can gather here healthy. And also our prayers and greetings to our prophet Muhammad SAW. Who has brought us from dark age to the bright age. And I would like to say thanks to my lecturer miss Dini for giving me a chance to stand here. Now I’m standing right here to deliver a speech about The Role of Social Media for College Students.

Nowadays, people couldn’t be separated from their phone. They always bring their phone everywhere they go. Not only adult but also teenagers have at least one smartphone. That smartphone must be contain social media to communicate to each other. Social media is the collective of online communications channels dedicated to community-based input, interaction, content-sharing and collaboration. Is social media really needed?

Ladies and Gentleman, Social media has consumed our society and is very popular today and everyone uses it. Nearly every college student uses some type of social media site. Students use it to communicate with each other, share photos, and meet new people. Social media plays a major role in college and is very beneficial in today’s society. A lot of students and alumni find out about event through social media. Therefore, social media keeps everyone informed and it creates a strong campus community that sticks together.

Ladies and gentleman, Social media is very beneficial in today’s society. Social media is way to meet new people. It increases social interactions and connections. It also keeps people updated with the news that’s going on around the world. Social media is very useful for communication, contact and it connects people together.

However, there are some evils associated with social media. A lot of people tend to spend too much time on social media. So because people spend so much time on these sites they become addicted which is very bad. It harms their performance in other activities and it causes mental health problems. For college students like us it is very bad to spend much time on using social media.

Things To Do If You Visit My Hometown

Hello fellas, welcome to my blog. First of all I would like to say sorry for late posting. Anyway do you guys know Pontianak? Pontianak is the capital of West Kalimantan. This is the place where I was born. In this article I will tell you few things to do if you visit Pontianak.

Pontianak is known for its river the Kapuas River. It is the longest river in Indonesia. Pontianak also have landmark like Khatulistiwa monument and Digulist monument. If you visiting Pontianak you may want to see this landmark. You can go to Khatulistiwa Monument by motorcycle or car. It is quite far from the city but not that far. If you like the view of sunset you can go to café on the edge of Kapuas River or you can go to Kapuas main square (alun-alun).  There are also historical building like Kadariah Palace and Pontianak museum.

For you who likes food Pontianak has Nasi Kebuli. I don’t know how to describe it but it taste good. There’s also a good place to have coffee it is Asiang Coffee. To be honest I never visited that place but I heard from people that the coffee in there is good. In the night you can see the light of Digulist Park and Digulist Fountain.

In Pontianak we can’t find things like mountain or waterfall or something like that. If you want to see something like that you can go to Singkawang city. It is not far from here. You can go there in three hours by car.

In this segment we learn about how to pronounce some Idioms or sentences in the right way.

Idiom

Idiom is a group of two words or more that each words has different meaning but when it is united it will create a new meaning. Read Someone like a Book it means we know someone whole. Blood, Sweat, and Tears it means full of struggle in doing something.

English Please

In this section they discuss about idol worship. There are a lot of bad things come when we hear Idol Worship. In the studio Miss Dini says that she worshipping a band named Westlife. The good impact from worshipping Westlife in this case is that she got motivated to learn English. Odi thinks that adoring is okay but worshipping is way too much. Odi mention that the fans of Justin Biebers making a fanbase named beliebers. Odi thinks that adoring and worshipping is different. Array thinks that the kind of person that worshipping someone are being clingy, stalker and many more. Odi thinks that there are more negative impact instead of the positive impact of worshipping. The extreme actions that the worshipper does is for example a fans of Justin Bieber a teenager she took a knife and cut her arm with the letter of Justin Bieber’s name. In the studio Array mention that he likes an idol because of the way of thinking of the idol. Odi is fans of Kurt Angle. Fidiya says that she adore Benedict Cumberbatch. For sports she likes boxer from Russian. Miss Dini says that woman adore Athlete because of the physical thing. When Array was younger he likes One Direction. He likes the music not the people. Odi mention group that he likes if it is music he likes Maliq & D’essentials, Hybrid Theory, Netral, SID. Odi wants to make a band with his friend a Rock Band. Array says that if he want to make a music group it must consist of man only or woman only. One of Fidiya idol have been disbanded because one of the member has left the group and the other has drug scandal in Korea. Odi says when his idol is disbanded he feels disappointed, pray for them. If Odi has a band he would name it Sandwich.

My Last Meal on Earth

Hello guys, we meet again in this beloved blog. How are you? I hope you always be fine. Well, you guys must have some food that you like, am I right? Have you ever imagine if there’s only one kind of food in the world. What food do you prefer to eat? Is it your favorite food or the food that you haven’t taste yet? It’s a hard choice right. But you must decide between that two choices, or you going to die with hunger.

I often meet this situation on the movie. But if it’s happen in real life it is an apocalypse. It’s hard to choose between my favorite food and the food that I haven’t taste yet. Well, I choose the food that I haven’t taste. I want to taste Beef Steak, Kebab, and many more. But I prefer to taste beef steak because I haven’t taste it since I was a child. I want to know how it taste like. That would be my last meal on earth. Of course I ate it with rice, that’s what people in Indonesia do. Another country may eat with another main food such as wheat and many more. Frankly when I write this article I feel hungry.

Letter for The Past and The Future Me

Hello guys, how are you today? I hope you’re fine. Have you ever think if you could turn back the time or you can go to the future. Can you imagine if you can do that, you can undo the things that you’ve done or you can see the future you. I know that the past is destiny for us. We can’t change the past but we can learn from it. The future is a blank page, we can still decide what we became of as long as it is the best for us.

if I could turn back time, I would like to tell the past me to be brave, and confidence. You (my past) should join extracurricular in senior high school so you can have many friends. Be a good person don’t gave up quickly. Faced all your problem with smile.

And to the 10 years later me. You should have learn from the past. Don’t do anything useless. Make your parents proud of you. Always be grateful of what you have. Work harder and don’t forget to pray. Make sure you read all of my letter.

My Favorite Karaoke Song

Hello guys, we meet again after I post the last article last week. Do you guys ever listen song? This is a silly question hahaha, but do you ever sing karaoke song?  In this occasion I would like to tell you about song especially karaoke song. Frankly I don’t really like karaoke, but I have song that I love to sing.

Karaoke is a form of entertainment in which a device plays the music of popular songs and people sing the words to the songs they choose. That is the definition that I got from internet. In my opinion karaoke is an activity of singing with device that plays music and the text. I have some song that I love to sing. The first is iris by goo goo dolls. I don’t really know about story behind this song but I really enjoy the music and the lyrics. I don’t know how to describe it, I just like this song. The second is Closer by The Chainsmokers. I really like the music. The music drives me crazy (just kidding). Over all I really like the song. The last but not least Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots. This song tells about adult life that makes us stressed out. The beat of this song is enjoyable.

Places I've Travelled

Hello guys, welcome to my blog. Do you miss me? It’s been a long time since the last time I posted an article to this blog. Do you guys like travelling? Speaking of travelling I only have travelled to 4 different cities. It’s not as much as I want, but I enjoyed it very much.

The first city that I’ve travelled is Singkawang city. This city is the nearest city from my hometown. We can get to Singkawang city three hours by car. There are a lot of beach in this city. You can enjoy the view of the beach in Pasir Panjang beach. The second city is Jakarta. Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia. There are a lot of buildings and a lot mall in here. But the traffic in here is too rush. The third place is Yogyakarta. This city is known as Student city. In this city we can find old temple. There are Borobudur Temple and Prambanan Temple. Borobudur is the largest temple in Indonesia. This is one of my favorite place in this city. The last but not least is Bandung city. There are a lot of old building in this city. You can enjoy the view of this city by walking. If you want to relax you can go to Alun-Alun Bandung. It is located beside Bandung Great Mosque. Or you want to go to natural places you can go to Tangkuban Perahu and Kawah Putih Mountain. In Tangkuban Perahu you can feel the cold air and beautiful view of volcanic mountain.
